Production Assembler

Job Details

Summary:

The Production Assembler is responsible for assembly of components in accordance with predefined procedures possibly using a variety of tools and equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·      Assembles products, parts and/or subassemblies, in accordance with product guidelines

·      Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards

·      Notifies Team Leader of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions

·      Adheres to established company policies and procedures including cleanroom, quality and safety regulations

·      Use basic qualified hand tools, manufacturing aids, or adhesive bonding devices

·      Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and cleanroom protocols

·      Record production data and report issues

·      Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions

Required Qualifications

·       Able to work independently and also collaborate as a strong team member

·       Excellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to change

·      Strong focus on maintaining a high level of safety and quality

·      Effective communication, numeracy and literacy skills

·      Ability to shift from one task to another

·      0-2 years assembly or similar work experience

·      High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

 

·      Prior assembly experience

·      Ability to read and comprehend quality standard procedures written in English

Environment & Working Conditions:

 

·      Must have the ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift products and materials of up to 20 pounds

·      May stand or sit for long periods of time

·      High-frequency, repetitive motions of the hands, wrists, and arms

·      Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to handle, manipulate and assemble small parts, components or tools

·      Attention to detail

·      Ability to perform tasks involving excellent near vision for fine, detailed work. Normal color vision and depth perception is required to distinguish between different colored components, tubing etc.

 

·      This position is generally performed indoors in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment. If working in the cleanroom, employee must follow all cleanroom and quality guidelines including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

·      Frequently in manufacturing or industrial settings that may be noisy or have temperature fluctuations

·      Typical work schedule is ten-hours shift, four days a week. Occasional overtime may be required
